Greetings to All,
My name is Asha S. Dey and I am a Residential Reading Faculty member at South Mountain Community College (SMCC), with the Maricopa County Community Colleges (MCCCD). I am a native from Honolulu, Hawaii and have been living in Phoenix, AZ since 1988.
My Journey with the MCCCD colleges began in 1993. My path of employment is as follows: College Work Study (CWS) at SMCC, SMCC Program Coordinator for the Reach Out and Do Office (R.O.A.D) with the Office of Student Activities, SMCC College Advisor and SMCC Education Mentor working on a joint partnership grant with the City of Phoenix. After that, I began instructing in the following disciplines: Reading, English as a Second Language (ESL) and Computers at three MCCCD campuses: SMCC, Mesa, and Gateway College. I finally joined the SMCC Residential Faculty Team soon thereafter.
